Testimonials

"Having lived in New Zealand a number of years back, I had always wanted to mark it with some Ta Moko. I wasn't going to just trust anyone as this was my first tattoo. I researched long and hard around who could do it in the UK and everywhere I read, Te Rangitu's name stood out by a mile. His work is phenomenal. From the design, to the intricacies of his work and his explanation and interpretation of what you want it to represent. Not only is he a great artist in his field but a terrific person. I wouldn't trust anyone else now. So much so that I have had my second and saving for more!   Thankyou."

"I had my Tā moko work done by Te Rangitu in Bristol about a year ago. When I got to his place I had no idea what nor where my tattoo would be or go. He spent 2-3 hours talking with me about my ancestors and I had brought along my whakapapa that proved my lineage right back to the Tainui canoe. As we talked Te Rangitu doodled drawings of a taniwha that reflected my family Maori history. We decided to have my tattoo on one of my calf muscles and he turned his doodles into a template and undertook the tattoo from that. Three hours later I had the most amazing piece of Maori art depicting my personal taniwha wrapped around my whole calf muscle. To say that I like it – is just not enough. It is TOTALLY MAGNIFICENT and I have been a different man from that moment onwards. To have a bespoke Tā moko, originally designed just for me that reflects my Maniapoto tribal heritage is simply INCREDIBLE. I am so proud of my Maori heritage and this tattoo reflects this PERFECTLY. It was an honour to spend a day with Te Rangitu – I will forever be in his debt."

After spending some time finding the right person to do my Ta Moko, I found Te Rangitu Netana and from my first visit both Te Rangitu and George were very helpful and hospitable - you couldn't have asked for more.  Te Rangitu's experience and skill is second to none,  he explained every little detail and the meaning of my design.  I’m so happy with the outcome and will be highly recommending him and going back for more work in the future".

"As a Māori living in the UK, carrying my culture with me has become more important as I get older. For me, having my tā moko was a deeply personal journey. When I found Te Rangitu, I immediately felt a connection. From our very first kōrero, any fears I had turned into trust. He made me feel at ease and guided me through every step with manaakitanga and aroha. Now, as I prepare for my third tā moko, I’m filled with excitement for the kōrero we’ll share on the day – discovering together the stories and meaning behind what I will wear proudly. Te Rangitu has made this journey one of belonging and cultural pride, even so far away from home.  Ngā mihi nui ki a koe, Te Rangitu."

"Te Rangitu has done two piece of Moko for me, each created after a detailed discussion about what I hoped to acknowledge about my family and partner.  They were my first tattoos, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but Te Rangitu's process was really clear and informative.  He explained his thoughts and designs in detail and he created two unique and special pieces.  I was able to trust him absolutely and the end result was stunning and full of meaning.   He is a great artist and I would recommend him 100%."
